Compositing
In my Motion Graphics class we had an assignment to create an intro to a movie so my partner and I chose Hostel 3. It was definitely stepping outside of our realm a bit because neither of us had ever done a project that was suppose to be scary or gruesome. We had a lot of fun with it, though! It is primarily video editing with color corrections but towards the end I composited in a 3D heart I had done a while back with a few touch-ups to try and make it look more realistic and fit in with the video.

Architectural Modeling
Union Terminal in Cincinnati, OH
Palladium in Carmel, IN
St Mary's Cathedral Basilica in Covington, KY. This one is still a work in progress but I hope to be done and have renders up in a week!
This is for a group capstone project I've been working on. I modeled and textured the barn along with modeling the wheelbarrow, scythe, and bucket.

49 Hour Competition
MG Collective held a competition earlier this year that they called the 49 Hour Competition. Similar to the 48 Hour Film Competition but this one was only animation and with an extra hour for rendering. A team of 4 other people and I got together to enter into the student category. The theme ended up being "A public speech gone wrong". I did one character model, along with model and texturing most of the scene and most blocking for animation. It's a bit rough but we were happy to complete it in just 49 hours!

Romantic Anatomy Animation
So I know this title sounds a little bit strange because not too many people view anatomy as romantic but that's all a matter of how you look at it. For this animation it will be a slow paced travel through the body, viewing main organs with a focus on the beating heart. It will definitely be a struggle making this come out romantic looking, it will take a lot of work with lighting, audio, and camera movements but hopefully it ends up turning out how I see it in my head!
So, to start with I modeled a base mesh for each organ in Maya 2011.
I started with the heart.
Then the lungs and trachea.
Next was the liver.
Finally I created the stomach and intestines.
After modeling I unwrapped each object using UV Layout.
Next I jumped into Zbrush 4.0 for sculpting and texturing.
Right now I am finally in the process of rendering! I've rendered all of my beauty layer and currently rendering my ambient occlusion layer which is taking a good chunk of time so hopefully it will be done within the next couple of days! Here are some of the final renders for the beauty layer.
And finally the finished product! Or at least finished for now. Hope you enjoy it :]
